The answer to yesterday's trivia question can be found here. It is one of my all-time favorite childhood memories. Maurice Sendak's Nutshell Library is a collection of his short stories for kids which were IMMENSELY popular with my first grade class. We listened to the "Really Rosie" album, we watched the "Really Rosie" TV special, we sang the alphabet song "Alligators All Around" (which I can STILL to this day sing all the words to), and the months of the year song, "Chicken Soup with Rice" (ditto for the lyrics and tune to this song). And, lo and behold, there was even a song about Pierre, "who only could say 'I don't care'." *sigh* What great memories. Tune in tomorrow when we discuss Marlo Thomas' AMAZING album and film, "Free to Be You and Me."
