AFTER A BRIEF HIATUS...

Yes, gentle reader, I realize it has been a while since my last post on this blog. I apologize.

You may wonder what it is that has been keeping me from my posting. Well, my days have been busy and full as of late. Over this past weekend, I cashed in on my one remaining birthday gift from Greenie. My peeps and I went to NYC (The Big Apple) and caught a Saturday matinee performance of "Thoroughly Modern Millie." I must say, it was absolutely FANTASTIC. The musical is based on the 1967 Julie Andrews movie of the same name, and stars the Tony Award Winner, Sutton Foster, as the title character, Millie Dillmount..Thoroughly Modern Millie

Thoroughly amazing is what I have to say. Sutton Foster is fabulous, and it is impossible to not fall in love with her as the adorable Millie. This show was, as our friend Jen put it, "what a Broadway musical should be. Singing, dancing, big production numbers, fantastic sets...it's Broadway."

The show, however, was just the tip of the iceberg... our NYC experience had only just begun.
